Dining Room - Check

The dining room is done. The school stuff is almost gone (still have some more to get rid of, but have no idea where to post it to try to sell), the furniture has been rearranged and the carpets have been cleaned.

To clean the carpet, I used an old trick that I have used before - hottest water that comes out of the tap, bleach and liquid fabric softener. The fabric softener takes care of any smell - we have two dogs, so I am sure there was a dog smell - the bleach takes care of any stains. There were a few rust stains from the bottom of a chair and it took them right out. Let me just say that if you decide to do this, test first. I can not guarantee that it will not bleach your carpet. I have very light beige, crappy cheap apartment carpet and it works great. I probably wouldn't do it if I had dark colored carpet. It looks better than it did when we moved in.

Tomorrow I am going to work on my walk-in bedroom closet. Right now, my concern is the holiday decorations that are stored in big totes in there. When we took the tree and decorations down, everything was just sort of tossed in to the totes and I do not want to have to deal with it at Christmas so I am taking care of it now.

Other than that, watching a few movies, finishing the book I am reading (if I don't finish it tonight) and then going out with a friend are on the agenda for tomorrow.
